How to Refund Consumption Tax
16% VAT is refundable on leaving the territory for all the nationals of non-EU countries on presentation of proofs from the vendor.

Bringing in protected species or their derived products (hide, ivory, etc.) without a CITES certificate entails an immediate confiscation.

Health Precautions

Obligatory Vaccination and Other Recommendations
It is recommended that everyone 16 years of age and older should get fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before travel and present, if necessary, evidence of COVID-19 vaccination at the border. The updated information on all health entry requirements as well as on routine and recommended vaccines for Spain are provided on the dedicated pages on TravelHealthPro and CDC websites.
While there are no official requirements for vaccination, the following are strongly recommended: tetanus, diphtheria, chickenpox, influenza, measles, hepatitis A and B and poliomyelitis. In the in the African territories of Ceuta and Melila, vaccination against rabies is also recommended.

Safety Conditions

Crime
The crime rate in Spain is very low, so Spanish destinations are generally safe. However, foreigners should beware of pickpockets and thieves.
Terrorist Risk
It is higher than in other European countries due to the activities of ETA.
Risk of Natural Disaster
Forest fires are common in Spain during the summer and there can also be flooding.
