Custom duties are levied on cameras and typewriters, but if these articles are re-exported within 90 days, the duties may be refunded.

Obligatory Vaccination and Other Recommendations

It is recommended that everyone 16 years of age and older should get fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before travel and present, if necessary, evidence of COVID-19 vaccination at the border. Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from all travelers arriving from an infected area. A certificate of vaccination against Meningococcal Meningitis is required for people travelling for the Hajj and Umrah pilgrims as well as seasonal workers. The following vaccines are strongly recommended: chickenpox, diphtheria, tetanus, influenza, measles, polio, hepatitis A and B, rabies and typhoid. Children between 3 months and 2 years of age must be given two doses of the Hepatitis A vaccine. Moreover, there is a risk of malaria throughout the year in most of the Southern Region and certain rural areas of the Western Region, except for Mecca and Medina. Therefore it is advised to use a prescribed anti-malaria medication. Inoculation regulations can change at short notice so it is advised to take necessary measures.
